Administrative Assistant

Empower Texans℠ / Texans for Fiscal Responsibility℠ is seeking an individual to assist the Austin office with various administrative duties and other projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff scheduling, web inquires, and other requests
  • Assist with data management, research projects, and other day-to-day operational tasks
  • Prepare business correspondence
  • Perform general office support and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 20 hour/week time commitment
  • Strong writing and personal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Effective at accomplishing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Commitment to principles of limited government and personal liberty

Cultivation and Partner Relations

Empower Texans℠ / Texans for Fiscal Responsibility℠ is seeking an individual to oversee day to day activities central to building relationships with key supporters and grassroots influencers.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivation of organization’s current supporters
  • Building relationships within the conservative movement
  • Targeted data mining projects
  • Assists organization’s senior staff in identifying possible supporters
  • Works with other staff to ensure cohesive messaging and strategy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule with irregular work hours
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Effective at accomplishing multiple tasks simultaneously

Development Associate

Empower Texans℠ / Texans for Fiscal Responsibility℠ is seeking an individual to manage multiple messaging campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes new and builds upon existing vendor relationships
  • Coordinates development mail efforts
  • Manages digital development campaigns (phone, e-mail, etc.)
  • Delivers to senior staff periodic statistical analysis of development efforts
  • Works with other staff to ensure cohesive messaging and strategy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule with irregular work hours
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skill set to deliver clear, concise, and consistent messaging

Foundations Officer

Empower Texans℠ / Texans for Fiscal Responsibility℠ is seeking an individual to head development efforts targeted at charitable foundations.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors general trends among top U.S. foundations as well as those focusing specifically on liberty issues
  • Researches, identifies, and cultivates possible foundations
  • Prepares and submits applications to foundations to meet targeted goals
  • Develops relationships within philanthropic and foundation communities
  • Works with other staff to ensure cohesive messaging and strategy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule with irregular work hours
  • Strong organizational and writing skills
  • Demonstrated track record of managing large projects
  • Commitment to principles of limited government and personal liberty

Internship Program

Empower Texans℠ / Texans for Fiscal Responsibility℠ is seeking individuals with a desire to learn more about Texas politics to intern in our Austin office.

Responsibilities of Interns:

  • Support senior staff in the day-to-day operations of Austin office
  • Complete in-depth research projects
  • Manage various data entry projects
  • Help write and edit website materials
  • Assist with social media outlets

Qualifications:

  • Available to work 12 – 20 hours/week around class schedule
  • Self-motivated and highly organized individual
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Commitment to the organization’s missions
