Lottery Tax

Remember when the Texas Lottery was supposed to fund public education? And then how it didn't? Well, now State Sen. Royce West of Houston wants to levy a 5 percent "fee" on winnings over $600 to fund... an education program! While the lottery is little more than a tax on the mathematically challenged, Mr. West's "fee" on winnings only adds insult to injury.

Lottery Tax
Don't start taxing people now for something the State Lottery should have been doing all of this time.
They need to hold people responable and make the Lotteery pay the money they should have been paying all this time. Hold the Lottery accountable for funding public education. They told the people that the money would go for Public education and they need to be held accountable.
