Great Things Going on in Leander

Leander is taking the lead in Williamson County in lowering property taxes to attract new businesses. Kudos to the leadership in Leander for analyzing their budgets and using free-market principles to provide the necessary city services. Let's give the elected leadership the necessary encouragement to take the bold steps in enacting responsible fiscal policies.
The City of Leander will have their next meeting on August 26 for the 2nd reading of the budget proposal.

Too Bad...
LISD is going to raise the M&O portion of the property tax this year from $1.00 per $100 valuation to $1.04. One arm extends a hand to the voters while the other picks their pocket. You can read the article here.
