Rodney Anderson was endorsed today in his run for the Texas Senate by Texans for Fiscal Responsibility. He is running for SD9, a seat currently held by retiring Sen. Chris Harris.
“As a freshman member of the Texas House, Rodney Anderson distinguished himself as a champion for taxpayers,” said Michael Quinn Sullivan, president of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility (www.EmpowerTexans.com).
On the 2011 Fiscal Responsibility Index, Anderson had one of the highest scores and was awarded the “Taxpayer Champion Award” by Texans for Fiscal Responsibility.
“Rodney Anderson has proved himself to be a thoughtful leader who listens to his constituents and works to practically improve state government through sensible policy reforms.”
Anderson is seeking the Republican nomination for SD9, a seat that includes portions of Tarrant and Dallas counties.
“Rodney Anderson is a bold, unapologetic conservative who will fight against the special interests, and champion the needs of Texas taxpayers,” said Sullivan. “The Texas Senate, and all Texans, will benefit from Rodney Anderson’s common-sense approach to public policy, grounded in sound fiscal principles.”
